Le flirt entre prouesse circassienne, peur et désir est une réussite. Le spectacle alterne numéros burlesques et performance de cirque. Verbe haut et taille de guêpe, Rose/Gulko joue les Monsieur Loyal, rythmant la représentation avec brio...Avec burlesque ou au contraire mystère et délicatesse. Yes we CARE (Circus Arts and Research Exchange)!

Cahin-Caha is a partner in the european project CARE, that just received a European Union subsidy.

The project brings together Cirkus Cirkör (SE), Cirk La Putyka (CZ), Circo Aereo (FI), Cirkus Xanti (NW), Cie Un loup pour l'homme (FR), Nordic House (IS) and Cahin-Caha.

From June 2013 until December 2014, these partners will meet up in the different participating countries to reflet, exchange, research and create together. CARE will lead to a common presentation in the beginning of 2015 (calender of activities coming soon).

Creative process and the subconscious

“Gulko navigates between experimental performance, political street theatre and modern rituals ..."

A 7 day course to dream, to link the imagination to body, to explode creative constraints, to deepen and renew personal expression. Multidisciplinary improvisation, writing, drawing, dance, performance. In the beautiful nature of Hostellerie de Pontempeyrat.

Workshop contents

Creativity: a tool that each of us uses to achieve our goals or to get out of nasty situation. For some it is a livelihood. How to sharpen, develop or awaken the imagination - the visible tip of the subconscious? Every night, dreams are at work, offering images, feelings and stories to probe the world.

The work of the subconscious became the area of development of my performances through automatic writing, games of chance, improvisation and, specifically, the dream journal. Logbook of my unconscious. I propose to you to become intimate with your inner world, and develop your own creative process.

Program and stages of work

Dreams will be the pretext for framing the discovery of risk. Following the processes of his last major works (REV et ROSE), Gulko will lead us into unexpected situations, to re-acquire wonder. Even in the worst situations, humans continue to dream. Dreams accompany, relieve, alert, and sometimes push us to take risks. To imagine grasping society by playing dreams, is a wacky and political act. A quest for revolution.

Type of participants

Artists, creators, citizens. (Limited to 20 participants)

Pre-requisite, professional experience

Participants should have a regular creative practice (performing arts, visual arts, writing) and be reasonably fit to dance, move and walk. There will be sessions of improvisation in dance and performance.
